KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To increase conversion rates by ensuring client expectations are met and the highest delivery of service and best price available is driven through the business
  • To continually look at creative ideas to increase our margin and review products which are offered to clients
  • To build and retain multi-level relationships with clients
  • To ensure effective communication with clients at all times
  • To ensure that all correspondence, documentation, proposals, presentations are delivered accurately and timeously
  • To follow-up with clients and leads
  • Source, identify and obtain new business
  • Generate leads from existing and new clientele within the corporate markets
  • To ensure that divisional strategies are followed
  • To ensure that financials are updated and accurate
  • To ensure that the required sales calls are made weekly
  • To ensure that the forecasting report is updated regularly
  • To follow-up with clients and suppliers on a continual basis with regards to current and future business
  • Assist with tenders, bid-proposals and presentations to secure new business
  • Present Tourvest and EfferVescENTS Event Management brand in a professional manner at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary Qualification

AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5 Years ‘experience in business development with a successful track record of achieving sales targets
  • Events and Conferencing Industry knowledge would be preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Be comfortable presenting to different stakeholders within corporate companies
  • Ability to work extra hours onsite with the events team and ability to travel to events
  • Ability to build and retain client relationships
  • Strategic business comprehension
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and analytical skills
  • Strong Negotiation and liaison ability
  • Strong research skills

SALARY

The salary for this position is competitive and dependent on relevant experience.
