YOUTH TOUR CONSULTANT – TDM SPORTS AND LEISURE

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To design, quote and book and manage various inbound and outbound journeys for the Sport and Leisure division – YOUTH Environment which includes schools, universities and clubs.
- To pro-actively assist in Product Development and ensure current product is updated, costed and relevant to client demand.
- To exceed customer expectations, meet operational deadlines and achieve set sales targets.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS
- To ensure client expectations are met and the highest delivery of service is driven through the business.
- To ensure that clients are offered the best available price and product.
- To continually look at creative ideas and review products which are offered to clients.
- To build new and nurture existing relationships with clients.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with all Tourvest staff.
- To ensure effective communication with staff and clients at all times.
- To ensure that all correspondence, documentation, costings, proposals, presentations are delivered accurately and timeously.
- To ensure minimum standards are set and measured
- To follow-up with clients and any leads
- The ability to manage and tour lead guests when they travel – provide at end to end experience.
- Travel with Youth groups as required
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Turnaround time as per Pure Travel agreed Policies or client specifications.
- Tourplan knowledge and execution.
- Amadeus Ticketing experience – Intermediate
- Knowledge of customers’ needs and products.
- Knowledge of TDM policies and procedures.
- Quotation Sheet / Costings as required to package product
- Documentation Management of all groups:
- Itinerary planning and layout
- Product contracting
- Vouchers
- Rooming lists
- Filing
- Recon
- Proactively lead the operations team through positive intervention
- Customer Care
- Handling of complaints professionally
- Problem Solving
- Continually exceed the customer expectation
- Zoho management
ADMINISTRATION
- Full understanding and follow-through of all divisional procedures and policies.
- Submit timeous reports as requested and adhere to deadlines
- Maintain complete confidentiality with all company intellectual capital
- Ensure all costings are accurate, inclusive and offer our clients the best value proposition
FINANCIAL REPORTING
- Weekly and monthly Financial reports as and when required
- Measure profitability on a monthly basis
- Monthly activity report
- Monthly Workload status report
- Manage payments relating to Debtors and Creditors where required
TEAM WORK
- To build and maintain good relationships with all teams within the division.
- Coaching, motivating, developing and mentoring and managing the team leaders and guidance with their teams.
- Performance Management through leadership team.
- Build relationships and support all business units within Tourvest Destination Management.
- Pro-actively get involved whenever and wherever needed
- Assist in areas of expertise.
- Working hand in hand with sales and marketing to secure business
SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS
- Commitment to and building relationships with Tourvest Destination Management preferred partners and more especially with the understanding of the Youth environment needs.
- Ensure that the best rates are always negotiated and secured.
- Understanding supplier products.
- Establishing best product.
- Personal development on destinations and products.
- Actively source new products and creative ideas
- Negotiate specific requirements relating to clients or departmental needs (Special Rates/Service levels)

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
