Description
As part of our ongoing workforce planning, we are developing an internal Talent Pool Database to support our current and future operational needs in Nairobi and Mombasa. This initiative is aimed at identifying qualified, high-potential, service-oriented employees who are interested in career growth and future opportunities within the organization.

The purpose of the talent pool is to enable timely access to pre-qualified internal candidates, allowing for faster engagement and interviews when roles become available.

ACCOUNTANT PAYABLES
The role is responsible for managing the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of the accounts payable ledger and compliance with internal controls and professional accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Receiving, reviewing, and processing supplier invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with internal controls and approved documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to address invoice disputes and discrepancies, issue debit notes as required, and escalate unresolved creditor account issues to the Credit Controller or Chief Accountant.
- Preparing monthly supplier reconciliations, ensuring accurate posting of supplier invoices and payments in Tourplan and related accounting systems, while maintaining up-to-date supplier ledgers.
- Assist in loading approved payments and prepayments into the bank’s internet platform while ensuring compliance with approved schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of payment documentation, supplier invoices, reconciliations, and supporting records in an orderly and audit-ready manner.
- Support internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation and explanations, while also performing additional finance-related duties as needed to ensure the effective operation of the Finance Department
Qualifications and Expertise
- Bachelor’s of Commerce, Accounting or Finance with CPA III or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts payable/credit department
- Working knowledge of accounting systems, Tourplan, and MS Office is a must
- Knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger processes, and reconciliations
- Understanding of IFRS and applicable accounting standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, good numerical and analytical skills,
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good time management and ability to handle routine pressure and deadlines.
