SENIOR TOUR CONSULTANT

The Senior Tour Consultant role will entail receiving, analyzing, and processing tour requests in alignment with the Company’s service delivery standards to maximize the organization’s revenue. In addition, s/he will be responsible for providing on-the-job training within the consulting domain, facilitating the efficient operation of the Rwanda market cluster, and ensuring that all tour requests are completed per established standards.

• • Bookings Management: Accountable for the daily processing of all relevant incoming requests, according to set standards.
  • Accountable for delivery of excellent service delivery and achievement of prescribed turnaround time on all requests and documents dispatched.
  • Acknowledge agents’ emails within 24 hours, prepare accurate and detailed tour proposals swiftly, capture all quotations, and aim for a conversion rate of 15% or more.
  • Reservations: Ensure bookings are captured correctly in the tour plan and all services are booked.
  • Streamline File Operations: Preparation of booking documentation as per the set guidelines
  • Financial Control: Ensure costs are captured correctly on the tour plan; files are invoiced and have correct margins.
  • Improve and safeguard the Company’s image and identity at all times.
  • Provide leadership and support to consultants on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for on the job training in the consulting area, assisting with the smooth running of the department and ensuring the completion of tour requests according to set standards.

• • Relevant degree-level education in Tourism and Hospitality sectors or a related field preferred or or higher national diploma, in the same field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar &/or supervisory role.
  • Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats
  • Demonstrated excellent customer Service and Inter-personal skills across all levels
  • ICT Proficient; proficient in the use of Reservations Management Tools, MS Office etc
  • Proficiency in English and any other Foreign language will be an advantage.
  • Attention to details and with an Analytical mind
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Stress Management , conflict handling and problem solving skills
