  • As part of our ongoing workforce planning, we are developing an internal Talent Pool Database to support our current and future operational needs in Nairobi and Mombasa. This initiative is aimed at identifying qualified, high-potential, service-oriented employees who are interested in career growth and future opportunities within the organization.Please note that this is a call for expressions of interest only. Profiles will be reviewed and retained for future consideration, and shortlisted candidates may be contacted once a formal vacancy has been approved and the recruitment process initiated.The purpose of the talent pool is to enable timely access to pre-qualified internal candidates, allowing for faster engagement and interviews when roles become available.We invite interested and eligible team members to express their interest in the positions listed below by following the application instructions provided at the end of this advert.CONTRACTING & DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (TOURISM CONTRACTING)The ideal candidate will support supplier contracting, data integrity, and system accuracy within the Product & Contracting function. The role is critical in ensuring competitive contracting terms, accurate data loading, and effective supplier and internal stakeholder support.

     

Responsibilities

    • Support supplier contracting by negotiating competitive rates, special offers, allocations, release periods, and contractual terms in line with business objectives.
    • Maintain strong supplier relationships through regular communication, performance monitoring, and issue resolution to enhance service delivery and commercial outcomes.
    • Maintain, update, and administer supplier contracts, inventories, and master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
    • Load, update, and perform quality control of contracts, rates, and supplier data within Tourplan and B2B systems.
    • Support periodic contract reviews to align product offerings with market trends, operational needs, and pricing strategies. Ensure strict confidentiality and safeguarding of all trade information, contracts, and commercial data.
    • Provide guidance and support to sales and operations teams on contract interpretation, rate structures, and data formats. Prepare contracting, database, and supplier performance reports as required by management.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to resolve data discrepancies, system queries, and supplier-related issues.

Qualifications and Expertise

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Contracts Management, Database Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a in contracting or database administration, preferably within the travel and tourism sector.
    • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven supplier and stakeholder relationship management skills.
    • ICT proficient with strong working knowledge of Tourplan.
    • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and data accuracy.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
