We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on and results-driven Workshop Manager to lead fleet workshop operations and ensure vehicles are maintained, repaired and inspected to the highest standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving workshop standards, minimising vehicle downtime, supporting safe operations and ensuring cost-effective workshop performance.

• Plan, coordinate and supervise workshop activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections and breakdown response.
• Ensure all repair work is properly documented through clear job cards and accurate maintenance records.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and improve fleet reliability.
• Lead, supervise, train, appraise and motivate mechanics, technicians and workshop support staff.
• Monitor workshop costs, manage inventory and ensure availability of tools, spare parts and supplies.
• Enforce safety, quality control, SHHE and OSHA standards across the workshop environment.
• Conduct quality checks on vehicles and ensure repairs are completed to satisfactory standards before release.
• Work closely with Transport, Operations, Procurement and Finance teams to support efficient fleet performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable road safety, inspection, licensing and statutory requirements.
• Prepare timely workshop, maintenance, quality control and inventory reports for management review.

• Degree or Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar workshop, fleet maintenance or automotive environment.
• Demonstrable experience in fleet management, preventive maintenance and workshop operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to maintain accurate technical and administrative records.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance planning, inventory control and safety compliance.

• Strong leadership, people management and supervisory skills.
• Excellent planning, organisational and administrative ability.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of integrity, accountability, resilience and commitment to safety and quality.
